I had the pleasure of photographing Barrett and his parents, Christina and Mike, for his 4 month session last fall, and oh my, how he’s changed since then! They brought his Baptismal gown for some extra special photos, as well as some of their favorite books and stuffed animals and the most amazing upholstered rocker, which I believe was Mike’s as a child. I wanted to take it home with me for all of my sessions! And how unbelievably adorable is Barrett in those suspenders?! I could have photographed him all day in that outfit. He’s such a sweet, mild mannered little guy, and it’s been a joy watching him grow this year!

Caroline’s Maternity Session – Virginia Highlands | Atlanta Maternity Photographer

Valentine’s Day… what better time to photograph a beautiful mama-to-be than a day celebrating love? I met Caroline and John at their beautiful home in Virginia Highlands. The clients’ home is my favorite spot to shoot maternity portraits because it’s the place they’re the most comfortable! I also just adore seeing parents-to-be in their baby’s nursery, filled with anticipation and excitement for their little one on the way. They and their puppy Abby were so sweet and easy to work with, and it made me super excited to come back for their baby boy’s newborn session in March… photos coming soon!

A Baby Announcement! – Buckhead | Atlanta Family Photographer

Ashley and Adam have been two very dear friends of ours for years now. I went to UGA with them, and we’ve grown up with each other over the past decade or so. When Ashley asked me to be a part of their pregnancy announcement, I was thrilled and honored! Being able to document the special times in the lives of those I love and care about is one of the reasons I do what I do, and this was no exception.

They have a great backyard (which is hard to come by in Buckhead), so we used that as the backdrop for their surprise announcement. They’re huge Georgia fans (Ashley was a cheerleader, too!), so it was only fitting that we use red and black tailgate chairs. How cute is that little baby chair? She also gathered some of her younger brother’s baby clothes, which were absolutely perfect, because they’re having a BOY! They made their announcement a couple months ago, and it’s hard to believe that baby boy McDowell will be here in just a few months. We can’t wait to meet him!

Avery’s Newborn Session – Roswell | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

Avery Elizabeth is such a sweet, sleepy, and loved little girl! Her parents created a beautiful nursery for her, complete with a really neat alphabet wall over her changing table. Her mom went to Georgia Tech and her dad went to Michigan, so of course they had to throw in some fun things for their “house divided.” 🙂 Their adorable, rambunctious puppy, Rocky, wanted so badly to be in all of her photos. He was just as cute as she was! Avery is now about to turn 4 months old, and I’m sure she’s just as sweet as she was the day I met her.

Carter’s 1 Year Milestone Session – Woodstock | Atlanta Children’s Photographer

I’ve been photographing Carter since he was born, and oh my, I can’t believe he’s already ONE! His birthday was back in February, and he was just as sweet and happy as he has been since I met him. It’s always an honor, but also a little bittersweet, to be the one to document a baby from birth through his or her first year of life. Here’s to many more years of cake-smashing good times, Carter!
