Sadie’s 2 Year Milestone Session – Marietta | Atlanta Children’s Photographer

I’ve been photographing Sadie since just after she was born, and I simply cannot believe she’s already TWO! How does time manage to pass so quickly? Her mom Anna is great about coming up with fun themes or ideas for Sadie’s photo sessions, so it’s always a treat to see what she’s thought of each time. For her 2 year photos, we gave her some birthday cupcakes, but she was much more interested in checking out the nearby sandbox. 🙂 The big hit was painting with neon squirt paints on a giant sheet, and then we finished up with a big bubble bath. Here’s to another wonderful year for Miss Sadie!SadieKing2yr-MHPblog-1SadieKing2yr-MHPblog-2SadieKing2yr-MHPblog-3SadieKing2yr-MHPblog-4SadieKing2yr-MHPblog-5SadieKing2yr-MHPblog-6SadieKing2yr-MHPblog-7SadieKing2yr-MHPblog-8SadieKing2yr-MHPblog-9SadieKing2yr-MHPblog-10SadieKing2yr-MHPblog-11SadieKing2yr-MHPblog-12SadieKing2yr-MHPblog-13SadieKing2yr-MHPblog-14SadieKing2yr-MHPblog-15SadieKing2yr-MHPblog-16SadieKing2yr-MHPblog-17SadieKing2yr-MHPblog-18SadieKing2yr-MHPblog-19

Baby C’s Newborn Session – Smyrna | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

I met baby C’s dad in college while studying abroad one summer, but I haven’t seen him in probably 10 years. So needless to say, it was a blast from the past when he and his wife asked me to do their second son’s newborn photos! Baby C’s big brother was so proud and adorable, and we had a great time playing around in their shared bedroom while baby brother had his photo debut. What a fun surprise to have the honor of photographing a long-lost friend’s family so many years down the road!

Charlie’s Newborn Session – Virginia Highlands | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

I so enjoy having the opportunity to photograph a glowing mama-to-be and a proud daddy-to-be, but it’s even better when I finally get to capture the love between them and their sweet new baby! Caroline and John welcomed little mister Charlie in March, and what a doll he was at his newborn session. His puppy sister Abby got in on the action as well, which is always necessary when there’s a pet in the family. 🙂 It’s extra special when the parents want to include a sentimental item in their photos. In this case, a family member had made Charlie a really neat quilt featuring children’s book imagery — what a fun treasure! Welcome to the world, Charlie!

Ashley’s Maternity Session – Blowing Rock, NC | Atlanta Maternity Photographer

There’s not much I enjoy more with this business than having the honor of capturing precious memories for those I love and adore. Our dear friends Ashley and Adam are expecting their first baby in just a couple months, and I’m thrilled that we get to welcome them to the “baby club.” Our friends lovingly call them “Mac and Cheese,” and we’re all so excited to meet Baby Big Mac! While recently on vacation in Blowing Rock, NC for a wedding, we snuck off to the beautiful Chetola Resort for some maternity photos. The grounds were lovely and full of inspiration, but I think our favorite spot was a field of tall grass that was hidden behind trees across the road from the onsite lake. The weather was perfect, Adam was a trooper, and Ashley was absolutely glowing. We also did a quick session at their home after returning back to Atlanta, and I can’t wait to share images from baby’s beautiful nursery soon!

Leighton’s 9 Month Session – Marietta | Atlanta Childrens Photographer

Since having Leighton last September, I’ve learned that time is truly a thief. I can’t believe our baby girl is already 9 months old! She’s pulling up on everything and has gotten quite brave and just lets go of whatever she’s holding onto. She has the most adorable 2 bottom teeth and says “da-da-da-da” on repeat. Her rolls, cheeks, and long lashes are to die for, and those big baby blues…. well if they don’t just steal your heart, I don’t know what will. She has a newfound love for watermelon, so when it came time for her 9 month photos, I knew we couldn’t leave out the summery fruit. Her funny expressions did not disappoint!

We fall more in love with Leighton with each passing month, and I’m so very thankful that I get to share every day with her. Being fortunate enough to run my own business so I can stay at home with our daughter is certainly not lost on me. Enjoy a little glimpse into the joy that Miss LL brings to our lives!
