Ellis’ 6 Month Milestone Session – Lenox Park | Atlanta Children’s Photographer

Is Ellis not one of the most precious, cherub-like babies you’ve ever seen?? He has big blue eyes, the most amazing blonde hair (that is usually in a self-imposed mohawk), and is the smiliest little guy, as you can see from the photos. I met up with his parents, who have been dear friends of mine for many years now, at Lenox Park in the heart of Buckhead. Adam used to live in an apartment across from the park (with my husband) and Ashley used to run there, so it was a very fitting spot for some family portraits. You’d never know that Ellis didn’t nap that morning and only snuck in a few minutes of snoozing on the way to the session. He is just such a joy to everyone he meets! We had such a fun morning together, and I am so excited to share these images with you guys. I mean, who can resist a baby boy in suspenders or a bow tie?

A Woodland Chic Baby Shower

Last weekend, I co-hosted a baby shower for my brother and my sister-in-law, who are expecting their first baby in April. It’s hard to believe that we’re that far along in our lives that my little brother is about to become a dad (!!), but I was honored and so excited to be a part of throwing this shower for them. I joined forces with her two childhood best friends, who are some of the sweetest, most fun and creative ladies I know.

The chosen theme was woodland chic, and we hosted at my brother’s in-laws’ beautiful home, which looks like an art gallery (her dad is a very talented, self-taught artist). We had so much fun running with this theme, and I think it turned out beautifully. We incorporated a trail mix bar for guests to make party favors, and we used the cutest little teepee to hold gifts, and it’ll later be added to baby boy’s nursery.

I photographed the shower, and I couldn’t resist sharing some shots with y’all. The little woodsy details sprinkled throughout were some of my favorite parts, but the absolute best part was being surrounded by about 45 of their closest friends and both of our families to celebrate them and their little one on the way. He is already so loved, and I just can’t wait to become an aunt soon!!

Kristina’s Maternity Session – Whittier Mill Park | Atlanta Maternity Photographer

I’ve been friends with Kristina and Mike since college, so being asked to photograph their growing family over the past couple of years is always extra special. They’re expecting their second baby, a little boy, in late March. We recently met up at one of my favorite local spots, Whittier Mill Park, on an overcast Sunday afternoon for some family maternity portraits, and we had so much fun. You would never have known from these photos that it was windy and absolutely freezing cold. Pregnancy looks so good on Kristina — she was simply glowing, and I just loved the top she chose to wear. We even got the most adorable, authentic smiles and giggles from big sister, who has affectionately been known as “Mean Muggin’ Molly” for her usually stoic look when the camera comes out. I think it’s safe to say that this family is more than ready for their little guy to make his debut next month!

Sara’s 1 Year Milestone Session – Marietta | Atlanta Children’s Photographer

Sara turns one this month, so I went to her family’s home to shoot her milestone session last weekend. Those tiny front teeth popping through are just the cutest, and she is such a happy little babe. It’s a good thing I brought my little white rocker to contain her for some solo shots, because she is on to go as soon as she’s on the floor. I’m sure she’ll be full-on walking in no time… and then there’s no turning back! 🙂 Happy 1st birthday, Miss Sara!

Dickinson Family Mini Session | Ardmore Park – Atlanta Family Photographer

I met up with this sweet daddy/daughter duo last weekend after having to reschedule twice (thanks to bad weather and my illness), and I’m so glad I finally got to meet them! Miss Gracelyn had just woken up from a nap in the car and was a little shy at first, but she brightened right up and was such a little sweetheart. She refused her furry white coat, even though it was freezing out, but you’d never have known it by her smile. During our session, Ryan told me that he sometimes wished he could just freeze time because she’s growing too fast. It’s clear what a great bond these two have, and I’m honored to have been asked to capture this time in their lives for them.
