Claire’s Newborn Session – Dunwoody | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

I love a good nickname for babies… I mean, we jokingly started calling our daughter LL Cool Hayes as soon as we decided on her name a couple months before she was born, and what do ya know, it’s stuck with her ever since. Baby M was affectionately called “Apple Pie” while she was in mama’s belly, and I’m betting this adorable (yummy) nickname is something her family is going to associate with her for a long time. I loved getting to photograph Claire with her big sister, Meredith, who was so great at giving her kisses and head pats. Sibling shots are some of my absolute favorite during a newborn session. While toddlers are pretty unpredictable when it comes to sitting still and holding babies, they almost always come around, and the result is the sweetest moment filled with the most real love, adoration, and curiosity at this new family member. Welcome to the world, Apple Pie! We’re glad you’re here.

S Brothers Fall Session – Dunwoody | Atlanta Family Photographer

When Avanti contacted me for a session last fall, she primarily wanted to focus on her sons, who are nine and one. What a fun age difference! She said that she loves how cute they are together, and I couldn’t agree more. Big brother was so loving and gentle with his baby brother, and I really wanted to focus on capturing their relationship and interactions with one another. Enjoy some favorites from this pretty fall session with the S family!

The kiddos in this family simply could not get any cuter if they tried! I loved the girls’ matching dresses and big bows, and their little brother is so darling with that head of blonde hair. This was my second time photographing the S family, and they were just as fun and entertaining as last time. 🙂 I really never mind when my job description includes acting goofy and singing silly songs to get smiles and natural, happy faces for the camera. I hope that when they look back on these images in the years to come, these three siblings will see the love they’ve always had for each other.

So these guys are pretty much my favorite people to photograph… probably because they’re my family and that darling little angel baby is the boy who made me an aunt. We met up at one of my favorite in-town parks on a frigid morning, so Jack’s festive, buffalo check hat worked perfectly to help keep him warm. It’s also the most adorable little winter hat I’ve ever seen, so I was perfectly happy to keep him in it for most of the session. My brother and sister-in-law are such loving, amazing, fun parents and it has been so neat watching them become a family of three this year. It’s hard to believe that Jack is already 8 months old, because it truly feels like just yesterday that we were rushing to the hospital to meet him on his birthday. Before we know it, I’ll be back here posting my favorites from his one year session! I want time to slow down, but it’s also such a great joy watching my nephew grow and learn and turn into an amazing little boy. Enjoy some favorites of my favorites.

G Family Fall Mini Session – Dunwoody | Atlanta Family Photographer

Scott grew up just around the corner from Dunwoody Nature Center, so when I threw it out as a suggestion for their family session, it was an obvious choice for them. I think it brought back a lot of childhood memories for him, and it was also neat to bring his baby boy there for the first time. Wells is seriously such a happy baby — I’ve never seen an infant legitimately smile as much as he did throughout our session! Scott and Ashley, you’ve been blessed with such a beautiful, sweet, and good-natured little guy. I am excited to watch him grow this coming year!
