A Maternity Session for Twins on the Way! | Atlanta Maternity & Family Photographer

When I ran into my client told at a local restaurant last summer… and she told me she was expecting twin girls… I could not have been more surprised and happy for her and her family! We were about two months into life with our twins at that point, and while it was exhausting and a little chaotic, we couldn’t have felt more thankful and blessed for the gifts we’d been given. And we were actually out in public as a family of five — and having queso and ritas! — so life was pretty good!

Their family welcomed their girls back in December, bringing their total to FOUR daughters! We shot this family maternity session earlier in the fall at the back of a popular park nearby, and I love their girly pops of pink against the greenery of the park. Big sisters’ expressions while loving on their mama’s belly are just priceless, and you can tell just how excited they were to meet their little sisters… one for each of them! 🙂 Can’t wait to share their newborn session soon!

Blakely’s One Year Milestone | Atlanta Family & Child Photographer

Blakely turned one back in August, but I just couldn’t let her sweet session slip by without sharing, even though it’s way late! This girl is now running circles around us at playdates and is doing her best to keep up with big brother. What a lucky little pair of siblings to have each other to grow up with! And lucky me, too, because I get to see them all the time. 🙂 Here’s to an exciting new year for this darling girl and her family!

Happy New Year! A Little Catch-up… Alice’s 6 Month Milestone | Atlanta Family & Child Photographer

Happy New Year, everyone! It’s been a few months since I’ve posted here… we have been just a *little* busy surviving the fall photography rush, the holidays, and life with three little ones. 🙂 I have WAY too many favorite photos to share with y’all, some going back to last August that I just can’t bare to let sit here on my computer any longer. So here we go… first up, my darling niece Alice’s 6 month milestone session. (She’s turning one next month (!!), so I had to get these up before I take her one year photos!). We shot this session at my brother and sister-in-law’s new home that they had just moved into earlier in the summer. It’s right around the corner from their previous house, and funny story… it’s also across the street from the first home they bought together. It’s a perfect fit for their family, and it made the most beautiful, personal backdrop for their family photos. I love the morning light streaming over their home, as well as their white walls and hints of wood… and of course, I love the people (and pup!) in these photos. I can’t believe I’ll be photographing them again next month for baby girl’s next big milestone.

Davis’ One Year Session in Nashville | Atlanta Family Photographer

Sweet Davis is the daughter of one of my dearest friends, and it was an absolute honor to be asked to come to Nashville to photograph her three times during her first year of life. Our session in July wrapped up her “Baby’s First Year” package, which is always a little bittersweet. It’s so fun watching my little client friends grow, though, and she is no exception. Davis is the light of her parents’ lives, and I am excited to see what the next year has in store for all of them as a family. Doing this whole parenting thing alongside best friends, even if they live in another state, is truly the best.

Sawyer is ONE | Atlanta Family & Child Photographer

Y’all, I have the prettiest bunch of redhead clients. I didn’t realize how many of them I serve until recently when I was looking through my instagram feed. (ha!) Some of them are strawberry blondes (like my oldest daughter), some have deep red hues and the cutest freckled faces, some have several members of the family with red hair, and some have a surprise red headed baby like we did. Anyway, I digress…

We shot Sawyer’s one year session at one of my favorite parks that is just on the edge of the city, and it never disappoints. I loved capturing big sister’s smile (who I’ve been photographing since she was born) and her interactions with baby sis. It’s so neat to watch sisters together now that I have three daughters of my own. Olivia even happily helped with the cake when Sawyer wanted nothing to do with it. 😉 I mean, what else are sisters for?!
