I first met Elena’s family when they welcomed me into their home for her newborn session last month, and I so enjoyed my time with them. They were beyond hospitable and so easygoing, up for whatever I had in mind (and they were sweet enough to offer me coffee cake, which I would have happily taken them up on if I hadn’t just decided to cut back on sweets!).  We photographed Elena in her aunt’s baby gowns, and I always love adding in those sentimental touches to make a session more personal. Big brother Antonio was so sweet when he got to hold her… there really is something so special about capturing your first baby showing love and care toward your brand new baby. Harlee Rae’s Newborn Session – Marietta | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

Anna and Eric welcomed their second daughter, Harlee Rae, in February. She was named after Anna’s great uncle, and her name means “meadow” and “grace.” It was clear during my time with them that Harlee is already so very loved. Big sister Sadie is an absolute natural in her new role, and she just couldn’t bare to stay more than a couple feet away from her baby sis at all times. So sweet! As mamas, we tend to always have our cameras (or iphones) out, documenting our little one’s every adorable move. But all too often, we forget to actually get in front of the camera to be included in those special moments. Some of my most prized childhood photos are not the perfectly posed family portraits… they’re the candid ones that show the love and joy and emotion shared between family.

This spring, I’m excited to offer the opportunity to get in the frame with just your little ones to focus on the overwhelming love and joy they bring to you. Does Grandma live nearby? Bring her along for some three generation shots as well!

Chrissy’s One Year Session – Buckhead | Atlanta Family Photographer

Chrissy turned the big ONE in December, and I met up with her and her daddies for a fun little session on the most beautiful (unseasonably warm) winter day… as you can tell by her cute little uncovered piggies! Bare feet are certainly not something you see in a lot of December sessions around here. 😉 She is such a happy girl, and I just loved her little sweaters and matching hair bows. In fact, I went off in search of a red sweater for my own daughter after their session. I had so much fun getting to know Steven and Felipe as we wandered around the park chatting about college football and finding leaves with Chrissy. Happy belated 1st birthday, darling! You are so loved.

Cameran’s Newborn Session – Roswell | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

Cameran joined the world in November, right around Thanksgiving. I first met them a couple years ago when I photographer Lauren’s maternity session for baby #1. It is always such an honor to be asked to come back to photograph a family again, and this time was no exception. Cameran is the second daughter for Lauren and David, and she was covered in hugs and kisses by her big sis throughout my time with them at their home. She was a dream baby — sleepy, calm, and just along for the ride. Enjoy some favorites from this in-home newborn session.
