Fall Mini Session Highlights, Round 2 | Atlanta Family Photographer

Next up, a new (to me) spot this fall! This sprawling green space is definitely not new to many photographers in the area, as evidenced by the large amounts of people shooting there each time I went this fall (ha!), but these days, it’s hard to find a true hidden gem unless it’s private property. So we deal with it and work around the dozens of other families also having their fall photos done… and you’d never know from these photos that there was anyone in sight! I fell in love with this place the second I got there while scouting locations earlier this summer. I love that you can shoot in a small garden, move over to an old barn, and then take a quick walk through the woods to the most massive field of tall grasses and random wild flowers. And if you go the opposite direction from these spots, there’s the most stunning old oak tree and more tall grasses as far as the eye can see. A photographer’s dream. Then you can grab shakes at Freddy’s across the street — the perfect bribe to get those kiddos and husbands smiling! 🙂

Fall Mini Session Highlights, Round 1 | Atlanta Family Photographer

Wow, fall ended just as quickly as it started! It was a whirlwind again this year, wondering if a certain illness would postpone or cancel a lot of sessions (thankfully it did not!), trying to balance my family life with three small girls and a very busy fall workload, and just trying to stay present and enjoy life along with this business that I’m so blessed to have. I got to connect with so many of my favorite client families as well as meet several new ones, which I always enjoy. It was exhausting, but it was well worth it. I didn’t have any extra time for blogging or sharing much about my sessions in the midst of it all, so I’m going to share some favorites from each set of mini sessions that I did around the city. This spot is a very favorite of mine in the heart of the city, and you’d never know it was there, because it’s tucked into a neighborhood and not even very noticeable from the street. It always seems to be filled with lush greenery year-round and it just such a pretty place to photograph families. I have a lot of favorites for each family, so it’s a little long. 🙂 Enjoy!

Baby Lia Rose | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

It’s been a minute since I’ve had time to slow down and actually work on some blog posts to share more of what I’ve been up to this year. I’m going to take it way back to February with Lia Rose’s newborn session. As I started going through the images in her gallery, I remembered just how much I LOVED everything about this session! The lovely family, friendly and chatty big siblings, beautiful home filled with natural light, thoughtful requests for poses by the parents, and roses in almost every room in honor of her middle name. Her great grandmother’s favorite flower was the rose, and I just love the sweet way they’ve honored their beloved family member. Now onto sharing some of my favorites!
