Wells’ Newborn Session – Hoschton | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

Michael “Wells” was named after his dad and also in honor of his mama’s beloved grandfather. His dad has been friends with my younger brother since college, and it’s been really fun watching them grow up, get married, and now both have their first babies. Wells was the sweetest, sleepy angel during his session, and his puppy siblings were too funny… they scarfed down raw green beans as a treat! (Now if only I could get our dog to go for that…)
One of Ashley’s family members made the most adorable little black and white tie to look like one of her grandfather’s favorites that he used to wear, so naturally, we had to get some shots of Wells in that. I love being able to incorporate items that have a special meaning to the family, and there’s no doubt that those photos of Wells will always remind Ashley of her grandfather. Welcome to the world, Wells! We’re glad you’re here.

Lorraine’s Maternity Session – Roswell | Atlanta Maternity Photographer

Lorraine and Will are patiently awaiting the arrival of their first child, who is due any time now. We met up on Labor Day (no pun intended) to shoot her maternity portraits at my favorite new spot in Roswell/Peachtree Corners, and they brought their two pups, Biscuit and Bourbon. They were so well-behaved and are clearly professionals at having their photos taken. 😉 I love Lorraine’s bright and colorful dress, which really popped against the greenery in the park. She said it was her favorite piece of maternity clothing, and I’m glad she chose it, because I think it’s always important that the mama-to-be feel both beautiful and comfortable in what she’s wearing. They’re waiting to find out the sex until baby is born, which always makes for such an exciting announcement. I can’t wait to hear the news once Baby S makes his or her arrival!

Perry Family Session – Park Studios | Atlanta Family Photographer

When one of my friends and fellow Atlanta photographers, Jenny, asked me to photograph her family at Park Studios recently, I happily obliged! I have been dying to work in this new space in Buckhead, and what a better opportunity than with another photographer friend? Jenny styled her family beautifully (the boys’ outfits are from Zara), and we had so.much.fun. playing in the studio space. The lighting is simply stunning, and the white floors and walls make for the most perfect blank slate of a backdrop. The boys had plenty of room to run (or crawl) and play with their wooden toys that Jenny brought, and I was able to capture gorgeous images without stopping to pose them very often. I highly recommend considering this studio space for clients who want bright, classic, and timeless portraits.  Really… how could you ever grow tired of seeing classic photos like these displayed in your home? Thank you, Park Studios, for allowing us to use your beautiful space for this family session!
