Perry Family Session – Park Studios | Atlanta Family Photographer

When one of my friends and fellow Atlanta photographers, Jenny, asked me to photograph her family at Park Studios recently, I happily obliged! I have been dying to work in this new space in Buckhead, and what a better opportunity than with another photographer friend? Jenny styled her family beautifully (the boys’ outfits are from Zara), and we had so.much.fun. playing in the studio space. The lighting is simply stunning, and the white floors and walls make for the most perfect blank slate of a backdrop. The boys had plenty of room to run (or crawl) and play with their wooden toys that Jenny brought, and I was able to capture gorgeous images without stopping to pose them very often. I highly recommend considering this studio space for clients who want bright, classic, and timeless portraits.  Really… how could you ever grow tired of seeing classic photos like these displayed in your home? Thank you, Park Studios, for allowing us to use your beautiful space for this family session!

Leighton’s 6 Month Milestone Session – Vinings | Atlanta Family Photographer

Our baby girl is 6 months old today! Where in the world has the time gone since September 10th? It’s hard for me to comprehend that she is already halfway to being a year old. I count my blessings every single day that God chose us to be Leighton’s parents and that He chose her to be our daughter. And I’m beyond thankful that things fell into place for me to be able to stay home with her and run my photography business on my own time so that I can soak up every minute with her. As they say, the days are long but the years are short.

Her personality is really starting to develop more each week, and we are so excited to watch her grow, learn, and take in this big world around her — and of course document every little thing. 😉

We had so much fun doing this mini 6 month session to celebrate Leighton’s 1/2 birthday. She is rolling like a maniac, is close to sitting up and crawling, tries to eat everything in sight, and has the sweetest smile. She is the greatest joy of our lives. Enjoy!

Leighton’s Splish Splash Session – Vinings | Atlanta Children’s Photographer

Splish splash… I couldn’t resist photographing Leighton taking a bath! We are about to start renovating our master bathroom, which includes replacing our soaking tub with a large glass shower (eek — so very excited about this!). We haven’t ever bathed Leighton in this tub, but the room has great natural light, and I had been picturing this sweet scene in my mind for months. So before my husband takes a sledgehammer to our bathroom, we gave our sweet girl an afternoon bubble bath, complete with rubber duckies. I’m so excited to offer this option to my clients for their little ones’ mini milestone sessions this year, too!

Barrett’s 4 Month Milestone Session – Atlanta | Atlanta Childrens Photographer

It’s always fun when you find out that you have a connection to new clients through a friend or contact. Barrett’s mom Christina went to Auburn, which is where my husband went as well, so we had fun chatting during their session. Barrett was such a trooper in the chilly weather, and his parents couldn’t have been sweeter. I look forward to seeing the W family again for his 8 month session early next year!

Leighton’s Fall Mini Session

Oh how I love having a sweet doll baby of my own to test out props and do mini sessions with!
I adore this knit pumpkin hat for newborn sessions. The Viking hat was a gift from a coworker, and it’ll make an adorable prop for older milestone sessions.

Leighton is going to be a cupcake for her first Halloween because throughout my pregnancy I joked that she might come out as a cupcake or donut due to the number of desserts I ate. Thankfully she did not! 🙂 I found the sweetest knit hat on Etsy and paired it with a brown onesie as the “cake” portion of the cupcake. I hope everyone has a fun, spooky, safe Halloween this weekend!
