Ryland’s Newborn Session – Marietta | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

Some of our good friends in Nashville told me about this nonprofit organization a few months ago called Preemie Prints. Their mission is to support and share hope with preemie, NICU, and angel (those who have had a pregnancy or infant loss) families through a variety of outreach programs. Those programs include the gift of NICU & NICU graduate photography nationwide, all done through volunteer photographers. Knowing several people who have dealt with the struggle of the NICU with their babies, I was thrilled to find this organization to volunteer my services with. My first assignment was with a family in Marietta a few weeks ago.

When the request came to me, this note was sent along from Ryland’s mom, Carrie: “I came down with a condition called the HELLP syndrome. I had to have an emergency C-section at 30 weeks gestation. I was scared for my baby because he was so young and little. He is doing good and gaining weight like crazy. He is currently a little over 4 weeks old (34 weeks gestation). He now weighs 3lbs 7oz! He was put in a crib today!! I have hope that he will come home soon. It has been a long road and we still have a long road ahead of us, but I know he will be fine!”

I so enjoyed getting to know Ryland and his parents, Carrie and Jacob, and I had the best time photographing their little angel. I hope these photos bring them joy for years to come as little Ryland continues to grow!

Geeker Family Session – Roswell | Atlanta Family Photographer

Joanna and Lee just had a beautiful baby boy last month, and they asked me to photograph them with some family who were in town from Columbus, GA and New Mexico last weekend. They have a lovely backyard, complete with lots of greenery and a little pond, which made for the perfect spot for a Sunday evening session.  Their “first child” Gracie even put on her fancy collar and made it in several photos. 😉 One of my favorite things about this business is meeting such nice people and getting a little peek into their lives, and this family was no exception!

O’Donnell Family Session – Senoia, GA | Atlanta Family Photographer

I met Tara a few years ago at one of my Stella & Dot trunk shows. Soon after, she joined my team as a Stylist, and we’ve been friends ever since. She’s such a genuinely happy person, and her growing family is just the same — joyful and fun to be around. We had a great time at their Saturday morning session before they hopped in the car to head down to the beach. Raegan is turning 3 this summer, and as most little girls do, she loved playing with the bubbles and showing off her butterfly wings and princess dress. So much personality bottled up in that almost 3-year-old! Baby sister Everett is 6 months old, and she is the sweetest, cuddliest little girl. Enjoy a peak at the O’Donnell family!

Katy’s Maternity Session – Buckhead | Atlanta Maternity Photographer

I had the pleasure of meeting Katy about 4 years ago when I started working as an Independent Stylist with accessories company Stella & Dot. Katy is a fellow Atlanta Stylist, and I just adore her. She and her handsome hubby have two little boys, and they’re now expecting their third… and it’s a girl! I was so excited to work with them on a family maternity session at their home last weekend. The boys were so sweet and fun, and I just can’t get over how much little Jack looks like his mom. It’s pretty obvious that little Emmy is going to be very, very loved when she arrives later this summer!

Lily Mack’s 7 Mini Milestone Session – Buckhead | Atlanta Childrens Photographer

Over Memorial Day weekend, I finally got to meet my friends Blair and Art’s little girl, Lily Mack. We met up at their house for her 7-month-old session, and she looked like such a doll in her pink bunny dress — and then mom added tiny pigtails, which I just cannot get over. Lily Mack is one truly happy, curious, and adorable little girl. I had such a fun time interacting with her and their 6-year-old “puppy” Lainey during the session — and LM thoroughly enjoyed snacking on my chalkboard. 😉 Enjoy!
